Mongolia Snow Leopard and Wildlife Tour

Safari Overview
Known as the “Land of the Eternal Blue Sky”, the landlocked, oval-shaped country of Mongolia in eastern Asia truly is one of the last great remote wilderness areas on the planet. Located between Russia to the north and China to the south, it conjures up images of horse riding cattle and sheep farmers wrapped in warm clothes, against a backdrop of stunning, vast green landscapes and mountains.

Luckily Mongolia offers far more than farmers and the Great Steppe grasslands. Fauna reported in the wilds of Mongolia consists of 139 mammal species, 448 species of birds, 76 species of fish, 22 reptile species, and six species of amphibians.

This 13 day Nature Travel tour is designed to give you a great chance to view the many unique and wonderful species of wildlife of Mongolia, including iconic species such as Goitered and Mongolian Gazelle, Siberian Ibex, Przewalski’s Wild Horse, Argali, Pallas’s Cat and of course the elusive, enigmatic and incredible Snow Leopard. We can expect more than 40 species of mammals and well over 200 species of birds during the trip, including many localised and sough-after species.

Exploring the wilderness of the vast, untarnished and stunning Altai Mountains will be etched in your memory forever. In addition to the birds and wildlife, we will see many other fascinating species of smaller fauna and flora, and be inspired by the stunning natural beauty and incredibly rich nomadic culture and history of this almost otherworldly country. This is truly a bucket list, once-in-a-lifetime experience!
